Second annual Sustainable Preparedness Expo - back by popular demand! Don't miss the Northwest's premiere preparedness expo. Come to learn valuable info at the many excellent seminars, connect with the thousands of preparedness-minded attendees we are expecting, obtain hard to find equipment, supplies and advice you need from the wide variety of vendors present at their booths. It's a one-of-a-kind experience you won't want to miss!
Over the last century, America has transitioned into the Technology Age with unparralelled abandon. As a result, the average lifestyle has become increasingly comfortable with every possible convenience available. But there are consequences. Americans in general have passed from a noble self-reliant lifestyle to servile dependence upon the current infrastructure for even the most basic necessities of life. Most families are no longer capable of producing or aquiring their own water, food or heat without the aid of the power company, grocery store or other entity.
Conventional preparedness stresses stocking up on certain items so as to "coast" through the unforeseen emergency. While this is certainly a good first step, it simply is not a satisfactory long-term solution. Why not live a lifestyle with Sustainable Preparedness already built in? This is the goal of the Sustainable Preparedness Expo--to provide the Inland Northwest with the tools, information and resources to initially implement short-term preparedness and then transition into Sustainable Preparedness!
We are beginning to post various door prizes that will be given to attendees who enter throughout the day (such as this beautifully restored, high quality, razor sharp crosscut saw, courtesy of Jerry at the Crosscut Saw booth). Check out the preliminary list of door prizes at this link. Coupons and Expo specials may also be found on this page.
Elected to serve his tenth term in the United States House of Representatives, Roscoe G. Bartlett considers himself a citizen-legislator, not a politician. Prior to his election to Congress, he pursued successful careers as a professor, research scientist and inventor, small business owner, and farmer. He was first elected in 1992 to represent Maryland's Sixth District.
In the 112th Congress, Bartlett serves as Chairman of the Tactical Air and Land Forces Subcommittee of the House Armed Services Committee. Due to his ten years of experience as a small business owner, he also serves on the Small Business Committee. One of three scientists in the Congress, Dr. Bartlett is also a senior member of the Science, Space and Technology Committee.
Rep. Bartlett is one of Congress' most outspoken advocates of preparedness in general, and particularly as it relates to potential threats such as electromagnetic pulse (EMP), which will be one of the topics covered in his fascinating keynote address. While we all hope and pray it never happens, you will learn what EMP is, potential consequences to expect from an EMP, why it is still a very real threat, and what you can do to be prepared---Just In Case!
A mainstay of the Expo, our extensive lineup of over 20 seminars and breakout sessions will be an incredible learning opportunity throughout the day in the exhibit hall. For a preliminary list of the seminars and breakout sessions, Click Here.
No trinket peddlers here! We do our best to screen vendors and make sure you have access to quality items from reputable companies. View a preliminary list of vendors who have been accepted at this page.
If you would like to be considered as a potential vendor, feel free to download the vendor packet here and submit your application for review. Only vendors who will enhance the Expo with quality products and training will be accepted. Standard registration has closed but late registration remains open until Sept. 14.
